The 1871 Census finds her at age "9" living with her parents in Brent Eleigh.
The 1881 Census finds her at age "20", unmarried and occupied as a housemaid in the household of a widow Amelia Trotter in Dartmouth Place, Lewisham in Kent.
In 1888 she married Robert Allen [Marriage Index: Cosford 4a 685, 1888 (March)]. They married on January 17th 1888 at the Congregational Church in Monks Eleigh; the marriage record describes her as a domestic servant aged "26" and describes him as a coachman aged "27" from Beckenham, Kent [Cosford DB].
The 1891 Census finds them with two children living at Algoa Lodge in Beckenham where Robert was still occupied as a coachman. Her age is given here as "50". His birthplace is given as St. Mary's in "Hampshire", but may actually have been Surrey.
The 1901 Census finds them with three children living at Sidmouth Cottage, Mosley Hill in Edmonton, Middlesex where Robert was occupied as a domestic gardener. His birthplace is here given as St. Mary's, Barnes in "Hampshire", reinforcing the possibility that the correct county was Surrey.
