Brief biography

Frank Charles (1) Hogger was born on July 26th 1888 at Thorpe Morieux [UK Census 1891] to parents John (3) Hogger and his wife Elizabeth (nee) Dunt.

The 1891 Census finds him living with his parents in Bury Road, Thorpe Morieux.

The 1901 Census finds him at age "12" living with his parents at the Post Office in Bury Road, Thorpe Morieux.

The 1911 Census finds him living with his widowed mother and siblings at Meredith Cottage in Norfolk Avenue, Bury St. Edmunds where he was occupied as an iron founder.

He married Ada Florence (nee) Wiles around March 15th 1915; she had been born in 1886.

On March 28th 1915 they boarded the S.S. Scandinavian and emigrated to Canada. There they produced the three children listed below.

Ada Florence died in 1949, and Frank Charles died on June 19th 1952.

  3. Stanley Charles (1) Hogger - born at Pense, Saskatchewan on June 9th 1917

Alice Amy married around 1940 to a man with surname McPhail and by him produced one son; her husband died during WWII. She worked at Government House and subsequently at the Singer Sewing Company in Regina; later still she worked for Canada Post in Pense as a Postmistress.

Stanley Charles remained single and worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway for about 45 years; he lives in Regina, Saskatchewan.
