Brief biography

Harold (2) Livesey was born in Salford on September 12th 1893 to parents Joseph (1) Livesey and his second wife Emma Stubbs. The birth certificate [Birth Index: Salford 8d 124, 1893 (Dec)], which spells his surname as "Livsey", states that he was born at 14, Quay Street in Salford and describes his father as a hawker. The informant, who could not sign her name, was Emma.

The 1901 Census finds him living with his father at 14, Quay Street. The record cites his age incorrectly as "11", probably owing to the enumerator mis-reading or mis-hearing "seven" as "eleven".

He appears to have died aged 16 in 1909 [Death Index: Salford 8d 2, 1909 (Dec)]. This is consistent with a claim made by the partner Maud Ethel (nee Bone) of Frank (1) Livesey that a brother of Frank had died (from tuberculosis) at age 16.
