Brief biography

Henry (1) Livesey was born to parents John (5) Livesey and his wife Eliza Ann Turner [Birth Index: Salford 8d 119, 1886 (June)].

He was christened at the Sacred Trinity Church on February 18th 1886, when his parents were living at 23, Wood Street in Salford.

The 1891 Census finds him at age 5 living with his parents at 24, Wood Street.

The 1901 Census finds him at age 15, still living with his parents at 24, Wood Street. He was working for a stationer.

On June 15th 1907 he married Ellen (nee) Lomax at St. Stephen's Church in Salford. The register describes both him and his father as labourers; her father James Lomax was a butcher. The couple gave their address as 3, Entwistle Street. One of the witnesses was Henry (1)'s sister Isabella (1).

The 1911 Census finds him at age "25" living with his wife and three children in the household of his widowed mother Eliza Ann at 131, Lower Broughton Road in Salford. He was occupied as a labourer in the docks on the Manchester Ship Canal.

Neither he nor Ellen has yet been found in the National Register of England and Wales 1939.

He died aged "71" in 1957 [Death Index: Salford 10f 607, 1957 (Dec)].

Ellen appears to have died aged "72" in 1960 [Death Index: Salford 10f 431, 1960 (Sept)].
