Brief biography

Isabella (1) Livesey was born to parents John (5) Livesey and his wife Eliza Ann Turner [Birth Index: Salford 8d 145, 1884 (March)].

She was christened at the Sacred Trinity Church on January 9th 1884, when her parents were living at 23, Wood Street in Salford.

The 1891 Census finds her at age 7 living with her parents at 24, Wood Street.

The 1901 Census finds her at age 17, unmarried and still living with her parents at 24, Wood Street. She was working as a paper cutter.

She married a market porter John Turner on November 28th 1908 at St. Stephen's Church in Salford [Marriage Index: Salford 8d 132, 1908 (Dec)]; the register names her (deceased) father as John Livesey, labourer; both gave their address as 28, Frederick Street; the witnesses were John Partington and Ann Turner, whose connections are unknown.

She and John have not been found in the 1911 Census.

She died aged "55" on August 24th 1939 [Death Index: Salford 8d 567, 1939 (Sept)]. Her probate register entry states that she had been living at 2, Dun Street off Bury Street in Salford. Probate was granted on September 15th to her sister Mary Alice (1) (nee Livesey) Gunshon. Her effects were valued at just under £145.
