The 1901 Census finds him at age "23" living at 1, Riding Street in Salford with his siblings, mother and step-father William Ashworth. He was occupied as a labourer in a warehouse.
He may have died aged "25" in 1902 [Death Index: Salford 8d 70, 1902 (Sept)].
