  3. and possibly others ...

Elizabeth (1) was living with her father in the 1841 and 1851 Censuses. The 1861 Census finds her aged "22" and unmarried, occupied as a servant at a school, headed by Charles Alfieri, in Birch Street, Stoke-upon-Trent. In 1866 she married George Sherlock [Marriage Index: Stoke T. 6b 309, 1866 (Dec)]. They married on November 15th at Northwood by Stoke-upon-Trent [IGI: Batch M167281], the latter record assigning her a middle name Ann. The 1871 Census finds them with their child Frederick living at 72, Sidney (or Sydney) Street, Stoke-upon-Trent. George, born at Fenton around 1834-35, was occupied as a porter. Later in 1871 George died aged "37" [Death Index: Stoke T. 6b 154, 1871 (Dec)]. In 1874 Elizabeth (1) remarried - as "Elizabeth Sherlock" - to a labourer Samuel Hall [Marriage Index: Stoke T. 6b 283, 1874 (June)]. He, like her, was born at Alton. The 1881 Census finds them living - with children of both her marriages - at 57, Sidney Street in Shelton parish, Stoke-upon-Trent. The 1891 and 1901 Censuses both find them living at 55, Sidney Street. Elizabeth (1) died later in 1901 aged "62" [Death Index: Stoke T. 6b 137, 1901 (Sept)]. Samuel died either aged "68" in 1906 [Death Index: Stoke T. 6b 130, 1906 (Dec)] or aged "69" in 1907 [Death Index: Stoke T. 6b 92, 1907 (Dec)].

John (7) appears to have died in 1839 [Death Index: Ashbourne 19 295, 1839 (June)].
