Arthur Albert Woodhurst was born in 1851 to parents James (2) Woodhurst and his wife Mary Ann Bonner. His birth certificate [Birth Index: Stepney II 584, 1851 (Sept)] states that he was born at his parents' residence at 2, Red Lion Street in Wapping on June 7th 1851. His father - who was the informant - was occupied then as a police constable.
He was christened at St. Thomas, Stepney on August 3rd 1851 [IGI: Batch C067881].
He died later that year. The death certificate [Death Index: Stepney II 434, 1851 (Dec)] states that he died aged 6 months and 6 days on December 13th 1851 at 2, Red Lion Street. His father, described as a police constable and present at the death, was the informant. The cause of death was certified as diarrhoea.
