George Andrew Jackson Woodhurst was born on December 18th 1872 at Abbeville, SC of parents Andrew Jackson Woodhurst and his wife Ann(e) Amanda Kennedy [IGI].
It is believed that in his youth he was accidentally shot and killed by his brother Andrew Kennedy Woodhurst while out hunting. An un-named youth is buried at the Lower Lebanon Presbyterian Church Cemetery in the same grave plot as this Andrew [descendant's report]. The date of his death was May 6th 1887 [from Bratcher].
