Hazzard Willie Woodhurst was born to parents Walter Willie Woodhurst and his wife Velma Mae Hopke. He was born at Perry township in Ralls County, Missouri on October 8th 1917.
Relatives report that Hazzard Willie married Dorothy Lee Clary at Hannibal in Missouri on December 21st 1940 and produced the first two children listed below. The other children are named in the obituary of his son William Jeff. Dorothy Lee was born in Perry on November 24th 1922 to parents Martin Verdner Clary and his wife Mary Sophia (nee) Robison.
Mary Sophia was born in Ralls County on January 9th 1902 to parents William Thomas Robison and his wife Mary Sophia (nee) Anderson, and died aged 101 at Center, Missouri on April 17th 2003. Her obituary was published on April 18th in The Hannibal Courier-Post. She was buried at the Olivet Cemetery.
An article published on Thursday April 24th 1975 in the The Twainland Enterprise refers to Hazzard Willie's farm being damaged - as were many others in the area - by a severe storm on the preceding Friday. It states:
Mrs. Hazzard Woodhurst reported that their farm home, north of Perry, received hail damage which stripped the paint off the side of the house and some wind damage to the roof. Two hog houses on the farm are completely gone and their barn roof was damaged.
He died at Green Lawn in Ralls County on August 2nd 1991. This date and his birthdate are recorded in the American Social Security Death Index.
