Brief biography

James (5) Woodhurst was born on July 18th 1919 to parents James Frank Woodhurst and his wife Rosina Ellen (nee) Parkins. The GRO reference is [Birth Index: Lambeth 1d 362, 1919 (Sept)].

He married Peggy Andrews in 1940. The GRO reference is [Marriage Index: Edmonton 3a 2604, 1940 (Dec)].

They produced just the two children shown below, but divorced some years later; James (5) moved to Nottingham and took a new partner; he lost contact altogether with his child until a family reunion in the 1970s, after he had been traced by the Salvation Army [descendant's report].

He died in Nottingham in 1981 [Death Index: Basford 8 0060, 1981 (Dec)]. Nothing more is known of Peggy.
