Marian Marie died aged 85 on April 29th 2003 at Lansing, where she had lived for 41 years. She was buried at the Eastlawn Memorial Gardens on May 2nd. Her obituary was published on May 1st in The Lansing State Journal, which noted that she had 21 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
