Percy Woodhurst was born in 1882 at Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk to parents Alfred Thomas (1) Woodhurst and his wife Frances Jane Punchard [Birth Index: Bury St. Edmonds 4a 644, 1882 (March)].
The 1891 Census finds him at age "9" living with his parents at 21, Meat Market in St. James Parish, Bury St. Edmunds.
The 1901 Census finds him at age "19" in the household of a retired wine shipper James B. Hude at 26, Leyland Road in Lewisham, Greater London. The household included several servants of which Percy was one, although his occupation was given also as upholsterer's assistant.
He married in 1911 to Lucy Florence Hooper [Marriage Index: Birkenhead 8a 1247, 1911 (Sept)].
A descendant reports the following: Percy and Lucy Florence married on August 5th 1911 and after living in the Birkenhead area they eventually settled in Colchester, Essex; Lucy Florence was born on July 28th 1880 [Birth Index: Stoke D. 5b 349, 1880 (Sept)], one of nine children born to Francis Hooper and Jessie Lishmund; Jessie was born on June 29th 1862.
Percy died aged "65" around early 1947 [Death Index: Colchester 4a 764, 1947 (March)]. Lucy Florence died aged "65" in 1945 [Death Index: Colchester 4a 696, 1945 (Sept)].
