He had been residing in Elizabeth township, Jo Daviess County in Illinois. His death benefits were recorded in various townships in Clinton County, Iowa besides various others in Jo Daviess County, Illinois.
The SSDI further records that his wife Edna was born on July 31st 1911 and died in December 1966. Her SSN, also issued in Iowa, was 485-50-5846. She had been residing in Sabula township, Jackson County in Iowa.
Edna was buried in the Evergreen Cemetery at Delmar, Bloomfield township in Clinton County, Iowa. Her husband Ralph was also buried there, and the cemetery record gives his date of death as March 23rd 1979.
Nothing more is currently known of him.
The records of the same Evergreen Cemetery refer to the death on November 20th 1991 of an Edward C. Woodhurst, who may have been a child of Ralph or of the latter's son Raymond.
