Various IGI ancestral files state that around 1919 he married Eva Ferguson, one of seven children born of the marriage in 1885 of Robert "Bert" Ferguson (born February 8th 1862, died June 17th 1928) to Georgia Sutherland (born May 6th 1867, died December 21st 1951).
The US 1930 Census finds him at age "34" living with his wife and two children in Abbeville township. He was working, like his brother James Andrew, as a conductor on a steam railway.
Eva was born on December 28th 1898 and died on September 6th 1973; Robert Stanford (1) was born on April 6th 1895 and died on December 31st 1971; both were buried at the Upper Long Cane Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Abbeville; the date of his burial was January 2nd 1972 [from Bratcher].
Charles B. is stated to have been a son of Robert Stanford (1) and Eva in a file submitted to the Kindred Konnections website.
