William (1) Fryer's origins are unknown. All that is known of him comes from the IGI.

He married a woman named Hannah whose maiden name is not yet known. Nor has their marriage yet been identified. They produced at least ten children, all at Wickhambreux in Kent [IGI: Film 538034].

Nothing more is known of him.

The 1841 Census finds the above Thomas Fryer living at age 90 in Brent Town near Preston-next-Faversham. He was occupied as a shoe-maker, as so also was the son Robert of Matthew (2) Fryer in 1841.
